As the Founder of Statement Beauty, I provide hair care for busy businesswomen on the go that need quality hair and hair care.
Growing up, my mom would never go to the salon. As a single mom of two girls, she could never find the time.
I always thought to myself, "if she had a little more time to do some self-care, life wouldn't feel so hard." It's so important for women to have time to wind down where someone takes care of them— a lesson that I had to learn for myself, at a young age. This is why I'm so passionate about creating products and environments that give women their time back. I learned that women need that time for themselves to feel beautiful.
All my work and know-how have led me to my current passion as an entrepreneur and educator.
I want to create a valuable experience for clients because I love anything and everything haircare.
I’ve been at this since I was fifteen, and I knew from a young age that I enjoyed doing hair. I was self-taught but eventually went to cosmetology school and fell in love with the science and technique of hair care. It became my lifelong career and I knew I had to grow within the industry.
At 18, after working at Dramatics NYC for a year, I knew I was ready for my next level so I began attending trade shows, workshops, and investing in my growth. I’ve had the pleasure of working with and learning from some of the industry’s most sought out professionals including, Scott Barnes, Kellon Deryck, Nicky Posley, and Danessa Myricks to name a few.
Now, as the Founder of Statement Beauty, I provide hair care for busy businesswomen on the go that need quality hair and hair care. Additionally, I serve as an educator to hair professionals who are just starting out. I’m a believer in sharing my skills rather than gatekeeping. When we work together and learn from each other, we create greatness.
